Vita - anyone bothering?

Post by Daftdave on Tue Feb 14, 2012 12:32 am

I had a bit of a turn on one the other day, it's a neat bit of kit i can tell you!! Graphics are great (played FIFA), feels really good to hold, just a massive ball-bag of a price!

For me it's a no. Not until they lop about £100 off the tag.

I have a PSP still... somewhere.
I thought about it but no more than that, can't justify the cost

I made the mistake of buying a PSP on launch and then hardly played it. Plus, the inevitable 'Slim' version which will fix any of the hardware problems that surface on this model will probably appear within a year or 18 months. I will wait for that.

I'm waiting, looks fab though but can't justify the price tag. If the sales slump like they are in Japan it won't be long till it's under £150

Yeah. The Vita has been decimated by the 3DS in Japan because Nintendo had aprice cut within months of its release following poor sales. I expect the Vita will follow a similar pattern. It costs too much to be a day one purchaser of hardware nowadays.

I know a guy who has bought one and he's raving about it. I'm seeing him in the week so will have a proper go on it!
